I still remember the day I registered bridengroom.video, September 24, 2018 to be exact. At the time, I thought it would be a side project, but it grew into something much bigger. Seven years later, it’s incredible to see how far we’ve come.
When I got married in 2018, I had to wait what felt like forever to receive our video. Our videographer told me how hard it was to balance shooting, editing, sales, and family life. Hearing that, and going through that long wait myself, made me realize there had to be a better way. Since then I’ve built a team that can support filmmakers, take some of the editing backlog off their shoulders, and make sure couples don’t have to wait so long to see their memories.
From three desks to a global team
When we started we had a small office in Kharkiv, Ukraine, with three desks, three chairs, and three computers. But, there was also excitement and determination to prove this idea could work.
Over time, the team grew. What started with just a few of us has become a team of more than 100 people working together across continents. Our headquarters are in Delaware, with teammates in North Carolina, Iowa, and on both sides of the Atlantic. We may live in different time zones and speak English, Ukrainian, or Spanish as our first language, but we share the same goal: helping filmmakers deliver their films and giving couples a chance to relive their wedding day. That shared purpose has turned Bride&Groom.video into more than just an outsourcing company – it feels like a community.
The people who made it real
I want to thank my team. I see the effort you put into every single day. Each of you has added something unique, and together we’ve built something much stronger than any one of us could have done alone. Bride & Groom Video is no longer just my story, it’s ours.
I also want to thank the filmmakers who trust us. You hand us the most important moments from wedding days: the vows, the laughter, the tears, the crowded dance floors, and ask us to turn them into films that couples will treasure. That trust means a lot, and it pushes us to always do our best.
What seven years have taught me
Seven years in, I often ask myself two questions. Am I satisfied? Not yet. There is always more to improve; whether it’s how we communicate, how we support, or how we tell each story. But am I happy? Yes. I am happy because of the people I get to work with, the stories we help shape, and the thought that families will keep replaying these films for generations.
Looking back, I’m proud of what we’ve built. Looking forward, I’m even more excited. There are more stories waiting, more teammates to welcome, and more couples who will see their wedding day come alive again on screen. That thought keeps me motivated.
To my team, to the filmmakers, and to every couple who has trusted in us, thank you. These seven years have been unforgettable, and I look forward to the years ahead.
